Roland Pease
Roland Pease is an experienced Science journalist. He spent 6 years on the prestigious News and Views team of Nature, and 19 years at the BBC Radio Science Unit, producing, presenting and reporting on shows from “Science in Action” to “Frontiers”. Roland covers all aspects of science, from biomedical to particle physics, via geology and chemistry. From 2005 to 2006 he was Science Correspondent on the BBC World Service. His articles include pieces in New Scientist, The Guardian, The Toronto Star and nature.com. Roland was also a Lecturer at the School of Physics, Lancashire Polytechnic, for two years. He was awarded the Association of British Science Writers Award in 2002, for presenting and producing the Best scripted/edited radio programme on a science subject: "Discovery: almost like a human (Robotics).” In 2000, he won the Best scripted/edited radio programme on a science subject for "Frontiers: Race for the Higgs" Produced by Roland Pease, Presented by Peter Evans. He was awarded the Science Writing Award in Acoustics for Journalists in 1999, Acoustical Society of America (with Radek Boschetty) for Soundworks.
